Dear Families,

Childhood is a precious moment in time, and I want to help ensure that you have the same opportunity as other parents and guardians to embrace and enjoy these fleeting moments. Too often, families involved in special education are needing to direct much of their time and energy to learning ways of navigating a complex structure. It's difficult and exhausting work.

Unlike most advocates, I am a licensed school psychologist with many years of dedicated practice in special education. My professional background gives me an in-depth understanding of the process and all of its complexities — I am also quite familiar with the strain that families too often endure. Over the years, I've sat with numerous parents in IEP meetings who felt overwhelmed trying to absorb the intense amount of information being presented.

And if that isn't stressful enough, when progress stalls, disagreements arise, a plan isn't followed as expected, or any other challenge surfaces, the stress only deepens. As that happens, anxiety about the quality of your child's education takes hold and lessens your attention to the more rewarding aspects of parenting. Worrying about your child's school experience takes a toll on family life.

That's why, in June of 2026, I closed my chapter as a public educator and founded Brighter Path, LLC. I am here now, providing strong consultation and advocacy that will equip you with accurate information about specialized education, enhance your understanding of your child's area(s) of disability and evaluation findings, generate effective communication to bridge healthy family and school relationships, and forge a collaborative path to a meaningful, targeted and well designed IEP that will lead to educational growth.

My goal is simple: to ease the stress around your child's schooling so you can focus on what matters most — enjoying their childhood and celebrating every learning milestone along the way.
